Mario`s Ocean Ave in Lantana

Simply fantastic restaurant. I do not understand the problems other reviewers had with the food. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Mario's on Saturday night. Henry was in the kitchen cooking his tail off and the beautiful Kim was singing her heart out. I was told that she was a wonderful singer and we were treated to one hell of a show. Pasta was homemade and the garlic rolls really are heavenly. They are lighter than the typical garlic rolls you find at other Italian restaurants. Food was fantastic. Only complaint was my wife's serving of pasta was a little small and the lemon butter sauce a little too lemony. Finally, Danny was a very attentive and charming waiter. My cousin tried to give him some sh*t and Danny gave it right back to him. We will definitely come back even though Mario's is almost 50 miles from my house.

Had a waiter insist he talked to the chef about gluten in the dishes. I order and was served a floured, bread stuffed piece of fish. What?? Then he returns and says the dish cannot be prepared gluten free. No wonder he left jobs at Bice, etc. And found a place to hire him. Also, duked the host $10 for a table because we didn't have a reservation and he said they were booked for the night (prime time Saturday). There were about empty tables for the night. We got there at 7 and left 9:15.

My favorite Italian Restaurant in FL! What makes it great? AMAZING FOOD! Everything is cooked fresh to order, so come here to sit back and enjoy a relaxed evening....Don't expect to be in and out for a quick meal.... this is a place to come for an evening and enjoy the company your with as you try as many dishes as possible! Some of my favorites include...anything Veal... the Pasta's are often made in house... and every fish I've had has been perfect! If you go on Friday or Saturday night, you will be entertained with live music, including the stunning vocals of Kim Olmino! Listening to her sing is reason enough to go!Go...have a glass of wine...relax, and experience a great evening. (There's a reason so many locals are regulars here!)

Fantastic! took a little while to make but the zuppa di pesce is awesome! excellet seafood and fish on perfect linguine! Love the outdoor space and people are awesome!Thank you guys!

Unfortunately Mario's was not ready for a Friday night Valentine's Day. They had a set menu which was fine, but they were short on items even from the set menu. They didn't have three items my wife wanted from the set menu and they didn't have one item I wanted. The food did not taste as good as we remembered. The pasta tasted like Chef Boyardee. Then even though they were missing several of our choices at the end my wife ordered a cappuccino and they charged us $8 for it. Long story short dinner cost around $185 for the two of I us but it was very disappointing. The night was still great though because I was there with my beautiful wife.

Tori is one of the best bartenders and her customer service skills are amazing. The food at Marios is second to none some of the best Italian in Palm Beach County. Everything is made fresh to order and i highly suggest Marios Special Pizza plus the Snapper Francaise. But the whole menu is great and you will enjoy it.

Does or does not Mario’s serve pizza? If it doesn’t, why is it on the menu and on the signage outside and on the website? The bad news is that we ordered 3 dishes that had chicken on the bone and were told they were out of 1/2 chickens. When we asked to see the menu again, the waiter told us they did have it after all. Our dinners arrived without sides of spaghetti. The good news is that the portions of everything were huge and everything was delicious. So our review is very mixed. I will add that the pricing is very reasonable. They just need to get their act together and bring back pizza!

This is the first time I've ever made a review about a restaurant. We used to go there frequently and always had great food and service. We went there for Mother's Day and had a terrible experience. The food in the special Mother's Day menu was not as described and there was no way to order a normal menu item. Also, the service was awful, taking us 3 hours for dinner. We will never go back.

Sierra is the best! She made great conversation and made sure our waters were always full. A sure sign of great staff.

There is no better place around for delicious Italian food. They make you feel like family while visiting and that's probably because they are a family running it. Love the food, place, people, and experience.

The garlic rolls tasted like they were made a week ago. The cannoli was so soggy and stale I couldn’t eat it. The pasta was overcooked I definitely will not come back even it’s it free.

I enjoy their food. But I have to say I picked up food and they charged me three and four dollars for each main course more then the menu stated. when I got home I had bought an additional menu with me and confirm the prices even the side dishes they charged you an extra 2 dollars. Once again while the food is good this is not a well-run business.

Stopped in for Happy Hour we saw online, but the happy hour is not actually 4-6 as stated it's 10pm and after. But Kelly the bartender was amazing... Would have given a 3 star review due to false advertising but Kelly made up for it

Great food. Friendly service. Portions are generous. My Saturday night date place. The rigatoni is out of this world. The eggplant stack is also very good. We've had many items from menu and never disappointed.

The best part about this place is the staff. They're friendly and sociable. I've always had a great experience during my visits to Marios Ocean Ave.

This is honestly the best Italian food I’ve had since moving to Florida 10 years ago. Everything is fresh and homemade. The owner/chef came out personally to ask how everything was. I highly recommend Marios!

Started going to the weekend brunch on Sundays. It started out to be really good but I feel like the quality was lacking. On the most recent and last for a while I felt like everything served was left over from the night before and put into warmers. There was so much condensation in the lids that when picked up, they drained alot of water right into the food. The staff seemed very unprepared for service and the kitchen was more unprepared. Had to wait 30 minutes for the desserts defrosted from Costco.

Not what it used to be service was slow or non-existent everyone was busy doing something else even though this was 5 in the evening when they open had to ask for everything waiter was more outside that had his customers inside the owner was busy out shopping when the cat's away the mice will play

This was our 1st time at Marios restaurant. My husband and I pass it all the time on our way to the highway. We would always say we have to go into that restaurant. Well, last night we went in for the 1st time and the food is unbelievably fabulous. The food is fresh, the pasta is homemade, and the sauces are far above what you would get in any other restaurant. We will be at this restaurant many many more times. Thank you Mario for your unbelievable food :)

The lasagna was very good and it was a good size also. The iced tea was very strong.

Last night I ate at Mario's with 3 others. We had the veal, chicken, shrimp, and yellow tail. We tried a sangria and melot. We sent the sangria back as it was too sour to drink. The melot was not much better. Not one of the dishes was noteworthy. The special fish, yellow tail was very salty and quite dry. The veal was almost without veal, just beading. I requested a substitution for the pasta and received a vegetable and was not informed of the $4.00 up charge.

I never write reviews, but as a tourist to the palm beach area this food is truly phenomenal and authentic and the service is incredible!

Nice quaint place. Not huge but not small by any means. Has outdoor bar and some seating. I was told it used to be a house that was converted to a restaurant. Food was excellent, got seafood and was made well. The complimentary bread is amazing! There was a classy live band, piano, sax, and vocals. It was WAY too loud but was still fun, nonetheless.

Excellent place. We recommend spaghetti mushrooms and the gnocchis. Also they have a good variety of Italian wine, we tried Ornaia Chianti.

When i finally got my food, it wasn't bad but it was possibly the worse service I've ever had. Everything about dinner was a hassle, from getting water to the check, we had to ask again and again. The waiters were nice but you could tell the place was grossly understaffed which made it impossible to receive good service.

They serve big dishes and for convenient pricing. very nice employees. Great work.

I went to Mario's last week for the first time, walked in, went to the inside bar, I was greeted by a very friendly lady, she was behind the inside bar. Her name was Kelly she was so happy and welcoming, she recommended some wonderful, delicious food and I had a Drink... The drink she made me was so good. I can't wait to go back and see her again. She knows what the menu offers & she will explain all the specials and tell u about the music and happy hour. I think Kelly is a fantastic bartender , go see her. Plus the food is so good and the portions are very large. If you want a fun friendly bartender go see her and Enjoy real Italian food.
